Daedin MacAoidh: Very well! Witnesses, hear these words! It is most noble that those of skill and experience should pass on what they know. It is right and well done that those who would follow in the ways of the Cross should become the students of the Chivalry that they may prepare themselves for their chosen path. Therefore, it is right and nobly done that Knight should take Squire in bonds and oaths. Kazola, our worth has come nobly to my attention. The bonds of teacher and student, Knight and Squire, run deep. I am prepared now to enter this bond with you. Are you also prepared?

Kazola: Yes, I believe I am.

Daedin MacAoidh: Then let our oaths be made... Here is what I offer and what I will require... I offer you the full protection of my House and all its members, all my worldly goods are yours to use, the blood of my body will protect you, my arm's strength will defend you, and my actions will ever be to defend you from harm of word or deed. I will strive always to stand worthy of your loyalty and will repay it in full measure, and I will fight with you in all battles of worth and honor. I will require that you stand firm against evil and seek always to aid others, to follow without hesitation the commands of our Holy Grand Master in all noble causes, and to remain true to this oath until your last breath or the day at which you achieve Knighthood and take then squires of your own. Finally, I require your good council which I swear on the Cross I will heed. This is my bond and my oath. May I be stricken dead if I break it.

Daedin MacAoidh: Kazola...what do you offer and what do you require?

Kazola: I offer all that I own, presently and in the future to use in the spirit of what this guild stands for. I offer my sword in times of battle as well as my magic. I offer my counsel when it is required. I offer my heart and friendship in times of valor and courage. I offer my loyalty in good times and bad. As for what I require, I require your trust and friendship, and your protection when it is needed. This is my bond and my oath, and may I be stricken dead if I break it, until such time that I may become a knight.
